SOMESVILLE – Paul F. Kelley, 68, died March 9, 2006, at Courtland Rehab and Living Center after a long battle with Huntington’s disease. Paul was born Nov. 1, 1937, in Somesville, the son of Grafton L. and Blanche C. Kelley Sr. Paul worked many years for Charles Arnold and became self-employed as a scrap metal dealer. He was an avid gardener. He loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren. Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Patricia L. Kelley. He also leaves four children, one son, Randy Kelley of Trenton, three daughters, Judy Alley and husband, Scott, of Southwest Harbor, Cindy Jacobs and husband, Joe, of Seal Cove and Jeanie Kelley and partner, George Lyons, of Ellsworth; one brother, Albert Kelley of Bar Harbor; and one sister, Dorothy Sargent and husband, David, of Trenton; eight grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by a special granddaughter, Nichole M. Jacobs; as well as his parents; brothers, Eddie Kelley, Junie Kelley, Richard Kelley; and sister, Nancy Emerson. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff at Courtland Rehab and Living Center for the many years of kind, giving and caring love that they provided to Paul and his whole family. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at the Somesville Union Meeting House, UCC, Mount Desert, with the Rev. Victor Stanley, officiating. Interment will be at Mount Height Cemetery in Southwest Harbor. Contributions in Paul’s memory may be made to the Nichole M.
