WINTERPORT – Paul Frederick Hogencamp, 59, died May 17, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 22, 1946, in Port Jervis, N.Y., the son of Charles Frederick and Elizabeth Jane (McIntire) Hogencamp. Paul attended Rutgers University and was a graduate of Fresno State College. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who would craft his own fly rods and flies. Not only did he enjoy the great outdoors with his wife of 25 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Hogencamp, they also traveled extensively together. Paul worked many years for Bercen, Inc. and was active in the pulp and paper industry. He was a former member of the Winterport Lions Club. Surviving in addition to his wife, Liz, are his mother, Elizabeth; son, Mark James Hogencamp and his wife, Cindy; daughter, Lynne Marie Wight and her husband, Elliot; grandchildren, Sarah Mae, Brett Michael, Hannah Rose and Mathew Paul Hogencamp; Abby Elizabeth and Garrett Elliott Wight; three sisters, Sue Ann Blinn and her husband, Larry, of Washington State; and two sisters of California. Private visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a private funeral service will be held Friday, with the Rev. Robert C. Vaillancourt, pastor of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church of Winterport officiating. Private interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport.
