AUGUSTA – Paul W. Roberts, 57, of Augusta died Friday, July 15, 2005, at his home. He was born May 28, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Reilly and Ruth Roberts. Paul worked in Maine and all over the world in the shoe industry as a designer and pattern maker for more than 33 years. For the past four and a half years, he worked for Modern Pest Control in Augusta as a commercial associate. He completed a course from Purdue University in pest technology and AIB food safety education. Paul loved to hunt and fish with his son Jonathan. His recent hobby was working in his garden. He loved people and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a member of the Eagles Cobbosseecontee Arrie, Gardiner Elks Club, was member and past president the Sons of American Legion Post 4, Gardiner and was a life member of the N.R.A. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Bruce Roberts and Mark Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Roberts, who together they celebrated 19 years of marriage on July 4, 2005; two sons, Jonathan Roberts of Old Towne and Casey Rice of East Eddington; a brother, Roger Roberts of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 18, at Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home, One Church St., Augusta.
