CARIBOU and LARGO, Fla. Paul Watson, 86, died July 14, 2008, in Largo, Fla. He was born January 31, in Caribou, the son of George and Susan (St. Peter) Watson. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a farmer in Caribou for many years. After moving to Florida, he worked at Pinellas County Pet Friendly Emergency Animal Shelter. Paul is survived by his wife of more than 62 years, Lorette (Greenier) Watson of Largo, Fla.; two sisters, Avis Wilson and Harriet Adam; a brother-in-law, Adrien Greenier; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Grondin; a daughter-in-law, Edna Watson; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews in both the U.S. and Canada. Paul was predeceased by his son, Gerald “Bullet” Watson; three brothers, Glen, Raymond and Fred; two sisters, Vera Russell and Margaret Watson; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Anthony Grondin, John and Rose Zelondex, John and Alice Roberts and Dell Watson. Memorial services with military honors will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery with the Rev. Jean Paul Labrie officiating.
