AUGUSTA – Pauline E. McCluskey, 87, of Garden Way, died June 26, 2005, at Maine Veterans Home. She was born June 14, 1918, in St. Stephen, N.B., Canada, the daughter of Walter M. Clark and Estella (Higgins) Clark. In the 1950’s, Mrs. McCluskey was employed as a telephone operator for several years. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. Mrs. McCluskey was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, a former member of St. James Catholic Church of Woodland and St. James Sodality. She married John Louis McCluskey, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Mary Ann McCluskey; as well as two sons, James McCluskey and Daniel Foster. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Wilson of Readfield; two special sons, Michael Foster of Hermon and Thomas Foster of Bangor; one sister, Helen Henebry of Florida; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visiting hours are 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Augusta. Burial will follow in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
