MILLINOCKET – Pauline H. Brackett, 83, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008, at a Millinocket health care facility. She was born Jan. 18, 1925, in Millinocket, the daughter of Patrick and Sylvia (Goodine) McNally. Pauline was a member of David Henry Post No. 80 and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and going camping in the summertime. Pauline greatly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spent much time with them. She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 60 years, Frederick Brackett; a daughter, Rebecca Merry, all of Millinocket; four grandchildren, Brent Lee of Glenburn, Jennifer Lee and her husband, Ron Betters, of Old Town, Jared Merry of Stillwater and Justin Merry and his wife, Tiffany, of Barrington, N.H.; three great-granddaughters, Brooke, Brianna and Jessica; three sisters, Mernard Moscone and her husband, Robert, of Millinocket, Rena Landry and her husband, Joseph, of Millinocket and Sheila Cullens and her husband, Ron, of Turner; four brothers, William Skinner of Bangor, George, Kenneth and Sheldon McNally, all of Connecticut; sister-in-law, Mary Farley of Medway; a brother-in-law, Richard Brackett and his wife, Maxine, of Patten; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pauline is additionally survived by a daughter, Joanne Philbrook and her husband, Robert, of Clinton and their family. She was predeceased by a son, Larry Hunt. The family would like to extend a special thank you in grateful appreciation to the staff at Katahdin Nursing Home and Dr. William Jenkins for the exceptional and loving care given to Pauline and the family. Graveside services will be held at a date to be announced in the spring at Millinocket Cemetery.
