OLD TOWN – Pauline J. Lonko, 78, passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. She was born June 25, 1928, in Old Town, the daughter of the late Jules and Julia (Theriault) Beaulieu. Pauline will be remembered as a devoted mother, a kind sister, and a loving and proud grandmother. She played an intimate part in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Pauline had very strong family values and enjoyed her time at the cottage with her family and friends. From her love of children, later in life she worked as an aide in the elementary school system for many years. She was a faithful communicant and member of Holy Family Parish, Old Town and a member of the Old Town Knights of Columbus Women’s Auxiliary. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her five children, Sandra Lyons of Milford, John Lonko and his wife, Sally, of Old Town, Brenda Gallivan and her husband, John, of West Palm Beach, Fla., Paul Lonko and his wife, Margo, of Milford, Steven Lonko and his wife, Elaine, of Milford; she was blessed with 10 grandchildren who she loved dearly, Nicholas, Adam, Julia, Emily, Brian, Amanda, Jessica, Heather, Nathan, Charlotte; five siblings, Eugene Beaulieu, Charlene Preble, Ruth Ann Martin, Mary Brown, all of Old Town and Walter Beaulieu of Hampton, N.H., many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Florence Martin and Kay Veno. Friends may call 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Church, Old Town, with the Rev. Bill Labbe, celebrant. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town after the service. Friends and family are invited back to Holy family Parish Hall after the burial for a luncheon and continued fellowship.
