BRADLEY and UPTON, Mass. – Pauline M. Shorette, 86, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 24, 2005, at a Milford, Mass. hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Bradley, daughter of the late Rudolph and Pauline (Violette) Madore. Pauline was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bradley in which her husband’s family had assisted in building. She worked for Viner Bros. Shoe Factory in Bangor for many years. Pauline enjoyed traveling especially visiting her family and friends back here in Maine. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her son, Dr. Rudolph Shorette and his wife, Kathryn, of Upton, Mass.; daughter-in-law, Janis Shorette of Mertztown, Pa.; grandson, Daniel Shorette of Uptown, Mass.; grandson, Mark Shorette and his wife, Amanda, of Mertztown, Pa.; three great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Brittany and Owen. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence F. Shorette; son, George M. Shorette; and sister, Shirley Caron. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bradley, with the Rev. Normand Richard celebrant. Internment will be private at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Togus.
