BANGOR – Penelope Atwood, 45, died Oct. 6, 2006, at a local hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1961, in Bangor, the daughter of Norman and Regina Farmer. Penelope worked at Maine Distributors through Phoenix Industries for several years. She will be missed by all her friends and staff at Penobscot Area Housing. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. A service of remembrance will be 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, immediately after the service.
