VAN BUREN – Perley J. Langlais, 66, died unexpectedly Nov. 3, 2003, at a Caribou hospital. He was born in Hamlin, May 4, 1937, the son of Fred and Alice (Gagnon) Langlais. He was employed for several years at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle. Perley was a member of the Knight of Columbus Council 1635 of Van Buren. He is survived by three stepsons, Stephen Caron and his wife, Joan, David Caron and his wife, Alice, William Caron and his wife, Tina, all of Presque Isle; one brother, Willard Langlais of Lewiston; one sister, Leona Belanger of Van Buren; eight step-grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Lavoie) Langlais in 1991. There will be no visiting hours. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be in the family lot at St. Mary’s (North Main St.) Cemetery, Presque Isle. Those who wish may contribute in his memory to the St. Bruno-St. Remi Parish Memorial Fund, 336 Main St., Van Buren.
