BROOKTON – Pete White, 75, husband of Marjorie (Smith) White, died Aug. 1, 2005, at a Houlton hospital. He was born June 25, 1930, in Brookton, the son of John and Alice (Howland) White. Pete was a member of Baskahegan Lodge of Masons and the Shrine. He enjoyed working, horses and visiting. In addition to his wife, Marjorie; he is survived by three sons, Pete White Jr. and his wife, Julie, of Brookton, Scott White and his wife, Pam of Houlton, and Brent Jacobs and his wife, Bev, of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Shonna Jacobs Roy and her husband, Normand, of Palmyra; two brothers, Frank White of Brookton, and John White and his wife, Ricki, of Clearwater, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Dennis Jacobs; a brother, Fred White; and a sister, Agnes (White) Foss. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, at the Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Road, Danforth. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Peter Grenier officiating. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Brookton Baptist Church.
