PETER ‘UNCLE’ HARTT SILVERTHORNE, COLO. and FORT KENT – Peter “Uncle” Hartt, 49, died Dec. 19, 2003, at a Denver health care facility. He was born in Fort Kent, May 3, 1954, the son of Frank and Kathleen (Pelletier) Hartt. Peter worked in Silverthorne as a truckdriver for 25 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 2561 and enjoyed flyfishing, skiing and recently started the hobby of prospecting for gold. Peter will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by four brothers, John of Marlboro, Mass., Louis of Eagle Lake, David of Fort Kent and Tim of Wallagrass; two sisters, Ellen Franks of Stevensville, Mont., and Elizabeth Betty Hartt of Bonita Springs, Fla.; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. May 29, 2004, at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. There will be no visiting at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the funeral. Friends and family are invited to go directly to the church for the 10 a.m. funeral Mass.
