HUDSON – Philip James Johnson, 59, husband of Delores “Dolly” (Bowden) John-son, died Oct. 22, 2005, at his residence after a period of ill health. He was born Aug. 22, 1946, in Bangor, the son of Clyde and Lois (Bolstridge) Johnson. Philip served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War for three years attaining the rank of E-3 and was an electrician and repairman. He was honorably discharged in 1967 having received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the National Defense Medal. Philip was a former member of the American Legion, the Charleston Masonic Lodge and the Anah Shrine in Bangor. He owned and operated A2Z Towing service for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Dolly; his mother, Lois Bowers and friend, Ralph Smart, of Bangor; sisters, Mary Clark and husband, Ludgie, of Millinocket and Candice Ayer and husband, Thomas, of Glenburn; a brother, Clyde Johnson and wife, Linda, of Redding, Calif.; two granddaughters, a grandson, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Clyde Johnson; he was predeceased by his second father, Fred Bowers; his daughter, Michelle Rosinski; a sister, Kathy Goodine; grandparents, Loren and Lena Bolstridge of Corinna and Fred and Eva Johnson of Bangor. A Service of Remembrance will be held graveside 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Fairview Cemetery, Veazie, with Pastor Garnett Chute, pastor of the Hermon Baptist Church, officiating.
