HOULTON – Philip L. Tidd, 69, died Sept. 5, 2004, at his residence. He was born Dec. 15, 1935, at Hodgdon, the son of Allie and Jean (Brewer) Tidd. Philip served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Military Street Baptist Church. He worked as a mechanic for the Town of Houlton for many years. Phil is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Gibson) Tidd; his mother, Jean Tidd; one son, Wesley Tidd; one daughter, Laurie Scott; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elwood Tidd, Francis Brewer; two sisters, Arlene Cleary, Geraldine Tidd; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Military Street Baptist Church, with the Rev. Randall Burns officiating.
