FORT PIERCE, Fla. -Phoebe Lang Grandshaw, of Orange, Conn., Unity, and Fort Pierce, Fla., wife of the late Theodore E. Grandshaw, mother of T.A. Grandshaw died at her home on Friday, Aug. 20, 2004. Mrs. Grandshaw was an active alumna of East Haven High School, Class of 1942, a member of Connecticut Council of Catholic Women, member of NAEYC and member of the Garden Club of Waterville. Though an inactive member of the Garden Club, she was most proud of her beautiful gardens in Unity. She was the former co-owner of Cabbage Hill Country School, Woodbridge, Conn., until her retirement and will be remembered by many children and parents as “Miss Phoebe”. Phoebe was a very active parishioner of her St. Agnes Church, Pittsfield. There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at St. Agnes Church in Pittsfield. Burial will follow at Pond Cemetery in Unity.
