CORINNA – Phyllis Clarice Springer, 94, the wife of the late Henry L. Springer, died April 8, 2006, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home after a long illness. She was born Aug. 30, 1911, in Corinna, the daughter of Herbert and Edna (Lander) Simpson. She was a graduate of Corinna Union Academy and had been employed by a Bangor attorney for several years. She later worked as a floor lady at the Snowflake Freezing Plant in Corinna for many years and was employed in the hot lunch program for Nokomis High School from 1968-1980. She is survived by her brother, Roger Simpson and his wife, Muriel, of Cornna; a stepdaughter, Betty Larrlee of California; two stepgrandsons; special nieces, Alice Duthie of Charleston and Althea Wyman of Biddeford. Phyllis was predeceased by a sister, Christine Veazie; and a brother, Robert Simpson. Friends may call 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson Funeral Home, 30 St. Albans Rd., Corinna, until the time of service 2 p.m., with the Rev. Edward Jaworski officiating. Burial will be in Corinna Center Cemetery.
