ADDISON – Phyllis D. Looke, 91, died Dec. 4, 2007, at Sunrise Health Care Facility, Jonesport. She was born Oct. 19, 1916, in Mars Hill, the daughter of the late Darrell B. and Nettie V. (Bowers) McCrum. She worked for a number of years at the local clam shops and enjoyed doing so. Phyllis was known for her cooking, which everyone loved, especially her baked beans and her “sugar free” lemon pie. Family members include her son, Duane Look and wife, Pam, of Addison; three daughters, Suzanne Foss and husband, Stan Jr., of Columbia Falls, Lois Bagley and husband, Jimmy, of Peyton, Colo., and Janice Buckingham and husband, Clifton, of Ellsworth. She was a very loving and caring grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, who will be missed dearly by her 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grand-children and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by a sister, Florence Grass of Mars Hill; a sister-in-law, Connie McCrum of Presque Isle; brother-in-law, Fred Dearborn of Blaine; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm, in 1976; two brothers, D. Stuart McCrum and Dana McCrum; and two sisters, Yvonne Bubar and Marilyn Dearborn. Graveside services will be celebrated at Church Hill Cemetery, Addison, and will be announced in the spring. At her request, there will be no visiting hours.
