GREENVILLE – Phyllis Frost Rowe, 89, died Oct. 12, 2006, at C.A. Dean Hospital, Greenville. She was born Dec. 10, 1916, in Monson, daughter of Edwin and Mary (Lumbart) Frost. She lived in Monson until the age of 16, when she was hired by Dr. and Mrs. Nickerson to care for their children. While working she met Lonnie Rowe, who she married. This union of 69 years brought life to two daughters and a son, Edith, Carolyn and Larry. She loved her family and friends dearly, also three very special friends, Vivian Turner, Sylvia Clark and Pat Cote. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and ceramics, and also enjoyed the Duster Club with her husband. She was a member of the Jolly Elephant and the Rebekah’s. She is survived by a daughter, Edith Gould and son-in-law, Richard; a daughter, Carolyn Muzzy; a son, Larry Rowe and special daughter-in-law, Frances, all of Greenville; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; two very special cousins, Earl and Peggy Rowe of New Hampshire; and a brother-in-law, Charles Rowe of Greenville. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Rowe; six sisters, three brothers; and son-in-law, Bill Muzzy. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at Crosby & Neal, Greenville Chapel, 281 Pritham Ave., Greenville, with Pastor Steve Nute officiating.
