PRESQUE ISLE – Phyllis M. Jordan, 93, died Oct. 13, 2006, in Houlton, after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 11, 1912, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Benjamin A. and Hope Keirstead Curtis. Phyllis was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Presque Isle, the Maysville Grange and the Aroostook Pamona Grange. She will be remembered for her thoughtfulness towards her family, her delight in completing jigsaw puzzles, her enjoyment of reading and her pretty, quiet smile. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Fred J. Jordan; and her sister, Marion Curtis Lewis. She is survived by her two brothers, Col. Philip E. Curtis and his wife, Judy, of San Antonio and Benjamin A. Curtis Jr. of Lewiston; one sister, Joan Michaud and her husband, Philip, of Presque Isle; two sons, F. James and his wife, Phyllis, of Presque Isle and Phillip K. and his wife, Carol, of Houlton; one daughter, Jacqueline Sewell and her husband, Dwight, of Naples, Fla.; and many thoughtful and loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. James Ackerson officiating. Relatives and friends may call noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Johnson Cemetery, Presque Isle.
