EASTON – Phyllis I. (Banks) Todd, 90, died peacefully Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Mars Hill. She was born Sept. 28, 1915, in Bristol, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Stafford and Cora (McIntosh) Banks. Upon her marriage to Glenn in 1943, Phyllis moved to Easton where she and Glenn worked together farming. Later they spent many happy years traveling and camping throughout the United States and Canada. Phyllis was devoted to her family and always ready to help in any way she could. She was a generous supporter of many charities and a member of the Easton United Methodist Church. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren. Phyllis will be remembered for her wry humor, for her shameless cheating at cards, discarding anything that might be of help to the niece sitting beside her, for her wonderful cooking, for her strength and stubbornness and for her good heart and indomitable spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. A committal service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at Estes Park Cemetery. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
