BANGOR and PRESQUE ISLE – Phyllis Roix, 76, died Friday, June 18, 2004, at her residence in Bangor surrounded by her family. She was born March 3, 1928, at Aroostook Falls, New Brunswick, the daughter of Kenneth and Bertha (Burgoyne) Murchison. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, grand mother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Grant Memorial Methodist Church in Presque Isle. Phyllis and her husband, Dana, have made their home in Bangor for the last 26 years. She is survived by her husband, Dana; her son, Michael Roix of Northeast Harbor; a brother, Gerald Murchison; a sister, Ida Koch, both of Presque Isle; two grandchildren, Christy Roix of Northeast Harbor, and Jeffrey Roix of Boston; a great-grandchild, Caroline von Semkov. She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2004, at the Grant Memorial Methodist Church Fleetwood Street Presque Isle, with the Rev. Thomas Blackstone officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Contributions may be made in memory of Phyllis to the Grant Memorial Methodist Church P.O.
