LIMERICK and CARIBOU Priscilla Daigle, 92, died April 13, 2008, at Goodall Memorial Hospital, Sanford. She was born July 16, 1915, in Frenchville, the daughter of Arthur and Marie Guimond Bourgoin. She graduated from Wisdom High School, St. Agatha. Prior to World War II, Priscilla and her husband, Norman, lived in Madawaska. During the war, they relocated to the Greater Portland area, where Norman worked in the shipyards. They eventually moved back up north to Fort Kent. After Norman’s death in 1963, Priscilla worked in retail sales for J.C. Penney, until her retirement in the early 1980s. She had been a member of the Ladies of St. Anne in Caribou, Caribou Garden Club and Caribou Extension. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Limerick. Her many hobbies included reading, gardening, bird watching, traveling and playing cards. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Spending time with her family was the most important thing to her. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Norman Daigle; her grandson, Corbett Snyder; and several siblings. Surviving are her son, James L. Daigle and his wife, Dolores, of Searsburg, Vt.; her daughter, Sandra D. Snyder and her husband, David, of Limerick; three grandchildren, Steven Daigle and his wife, Kathy, Denise Coughlin and her husband, Dennis, and Kathryn Dow and her husband, Lenny; great-grandson, Parker Dow; and great-granddaughter, Jessica Coughlin. A funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 5, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 19 Dora Lane, Limerick. Burial will be at a later date in Madawaska. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Corbett Snyder Memorial Scholarship Fund, care of The County Federal Credit Union, 82 Bennett Drive, Caribou, ME 04736.
