BANGOR – Priscilla Noyes Green, 79, died Nov. 26, 2004, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Franklin, N.H., the daughter of Walter L. and Bernice (Moulton) Noyes. She was a Title I teacher at the St. John’s School for about 10 years, retiring in the late 1980’s. She graduated with distinction with a bachelor of science degree in 1972 from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where she majored in elementary education. Prior to moving to Bangor from Presque Isle in 1976, she had been a teacher at the former Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, and a librarian at the Presque Isle Public Library. She was also a graduate of the Becker College in Worcester, Mass., where she earned an associate’s degree in business. She attended public schools in Franklin, N.H., graduating from Franklin High School. She enjoyed golf and played with friends on courses around Bangor. She was a club bridge player and joined weekly games in the area. She is survived by five children, Catherine G. Snow, of Penobscot, William J. Green, of Danville, Pa., Carol Smith of Turner, Sherrill M. Nadeau of Auburn, and David C. Green of Bangor; and a sister, Charlotte MacDougall of Worcester, Mass.; and nine grandchildren, Amy and Christie Snow, Elizabeth and Daniel Green, Adam and Stacy Smith, Damian and Kurt Michaels, and Kevin Green. A funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Randall C. Chretien, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Bangor, officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Bangor.
