BROOKLIN – Rae Ward Jesseman “Two-Jump”, 93, died peacefully Oct. 22, 2005, at Penobscot Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 24, 1911, in Marlboro, Vt., the son of Ira and Katie Jesseman and the youngest of many siblings. Rae grew up in Monroe and served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942-1945 in Africa and Europe. While in the Army he earned the Bronze Medal. Rae worked as a mechanic for many years in the Belfast/Bangor area. He came to Brooklin in the 1960’s and worked numerous jobs including carpentry, wooding and lobstering and retired in the early 1970’s. Rae will be remembered by many friends. No visitation by request. A burial will be held at a later date at the Brooklin Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Rae’s memory may be made to the American Veteran’s Association or to the American Legion. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, South Street, Blue Hill.
