BREWER – Ralph I. Robinson, 89, husband of Beatrice E. Robinson, died Feb. 25, 2008, at a Brewer health care center. He was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Hermon, the son of Ralph F. and Catherine J. (Brace) Robinson. Ralph was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 152 Field Artillery, Battalion C in the South Pacific. He worked as a truck driver for St. Johnsbury trucking for 31 years and during his retirement enjoyed “motor-homing” and wintering in Florida. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 65 years, are two children, Charles E. Robinson and his wife, Margaret, of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Waynes L. Robinson and Brenda Trudel of Hermon; three granddaughters, Belinda McDonald and her husband, Joe, of Jones-port, Michelle Keith and her husband, Shawn, of Orlando, Fla., and Angela Rompa and her husband, Howard, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by special friends, Greg and Jean Bacon of Hampden, and Dennis and Sue McCurdy of Brewer. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ray and Robert Robinson; and a sister, Lottie Pettee. Ralph and his family have requested private services. Burial will be at a later date at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Respiratory Care, St. Joseph Healthcare, P.O.
