PATTEN – Ralph W. Tucker peacefully left his loving family to be with his Lord, May 29, 2007. He was born July 31, 1929, in Crystal, the son of Jefferson and Lois (Rowe) Tucker. Ralph was a member of Stetson Memorial United Methodist Church. He proudly worked for Great Northern Paper Co. for 30 years, retiring as a day foreman in the coater department. Ralph was a man of many talents. He was a woodsman, carpenter and fudge maker extraordinaire. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether for his church or in the community. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Letha (McLaughlin) Tucker of Patten; as well as his most treasured possessions, his children and grandchildren; his son, Ola and his wife, Diana Tucker, of Patten and their children, Ola Jr. and his wife, Rachel and their children, Chase and Dawson, of Hermon, Danielle and her husband, James Cole and their children, Halle and Jackson of Patten, and Joshua and Bethany of Levant; his son, Terry and his wife, Dottie Tucker, of Benedicta and their daughter, Annalisa and her husband, Shawn Harrington and their son, Tristin, of Turner; and his daughter, Lynn and her husband, Gary Soucy, of Brewer and their daughter, Kaylee of Bangor. He was predeceased by his brother, Herbert Tucker. Friends may call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at Stetson Memorial United Methodist Church, Patten, with funeral services being held 1 p.m. with the Rev. Tae Sung Kang officiating. Interment will be at Patten Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stetson Memorial United Methodist Church, Patten, ME 04765. The family invites relatives and friends to share refreshments and conversation after the interment at Rockabema Snowsled Club, Patten. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.
