MILLINGTON, Md. – Randall R. Orff, 47, died May 10, 2007, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash. Born Dec. 30, 1959, in Dover Foxcroft, he was the son of Robert R. and Sheila Orff of Norridgewock. He was the husband of Missy Collins Orff. In 1988, Mr. Orff and his family moved to the Millington/Crumpton, Md., area. He had worked as a superintendent for Brawner Construction for the past five and 1/2 years. At the age of 21, Mr. Orff joined the Mount Kineo AF & AM Masonic Lodge, Guilford, where he served as a lodge master. He received his 32nd degree at the age of 28. After moving to Maryland, he transferred to the Nur Shrine Temple, Wilmington, Del., where he served as boss clown for three years, participating in hospital visits and various events for children. He also was an active member of Crumpton Volunteer Fire Company. His interests included hunting, fishing and camping. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Orff is survived by a son, Brandon Orff of Millington, Md.; two brothers, Bruce Orff of Millington, Md., and Brian Orff of Fairfield; and mother-in-law, Joan Simpler and her husband, Sonny, of Millington, Md. Services with firemen’s honors were held May 16, in Crumpton Fire Hall, Crumpton, Md. Interment was in Crumpton Cemetery, Crumpton, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Brandon Orff Educational Fund, care of Mercantile Eastern Shore Bank, 101 East Main St., Sudlersville, MD 21668.
