BANGOR – Randie Lamson, 51, died Oct. 16, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with muscular dystrophy, during which she never lost her sense of humor or smile. She was born March 10, 1956, in Brookline, Mass., the daughter of Dr. William Kamber and Helen (Slotnik) Kamber. Randie was a graduate of Bangor High School and Boston University. She and her husband, Stephen, owned and operated Munchies Unique Pizza and Sandwiches. She later was employed for many years by Abnaki Girl Scouts. Randie was an accomplished calligrapher and artist. She was affiliated with Beth Israel Synagogue for many years. Surviving are her husband, Stephen Lamson of Bangor; a daughter, Jamie Lamson of Miami; her father, Dr. William Kamber of Hallendale, Fla.; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Helen (Slotnik) Kamber. Funeral services will be held noon Thursday, Oct. 18, at Jewish Funeral Chapel, Center Street, Bangor. Interment will be at Beth Israel Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the burial at Brookings-Smith, Family Center, 163 Center St. Bangor. Memorial will be observed 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 3-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, and noon-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at the home of Stephen Lamson.
