MANCHESTER, N.H. – Raymond C. Ashe, 51, peacefully passed away, Feb. 21, 2005, after a long struggle with vascular disease. He was born Feb. 4, 1954, and raised in Old Town, the son of Sharland and Freda Ashe. Raymond graduated from Old Town High School and moved to the Manchester area over 20 years ago. He had been in the restaurant manager business for many years beginning with W. T. Grants in Old Town and most recently with Bickford’s Restaurant, Manchester, N.H. Raymond’s extraordinary love for his family and friends will always shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Raymond’s favorite past times were spending time with his family, going to Ogunquit Beach and most recently a family camping trip at Joe Mary Lake last summer. Family members include a very loving daughter, Danielle and her husband, Thomas Quindley, of Manchester, N.H.; and a very special son, Benjamin and his wife, Amy Ashe, also of Manchester; two very special grandchildren on the way, Jacob Thomas Quindley and Alivia Joy Ashe whom Raymond will always watch over from a very special place; three brothers and their wives, Roger and Donna Ashe, Steve and Liz Ashe, all of Bangor, Robert and Gwinette Ashe of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and one very special sister, Shari and her husband, Joe Reed, of Bangor, many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom he loved very much. He was predeceased by his parents, Freda and Sharland in 1981 and 1987 respectfully. At the request of the family there will be no visiting hours. A spring service will be held in Maine.
