DOVER-FOXCROFT – Raymond Gerald Harvey, 77, husband of Marilyn F. (Curtis) Har-vey, died Dec. 29, 2007, in Bangor, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 20, 1930, in South Dover, a son of Robert and Laura (Anderson) Harvey. Raymond graduated from South Dover School and East Corinth High School. He attended the University of Maine, Orono. He served briefly with the U.S. Army and was released with a medical discharge. Upon release from the Army, Raymond worked for his father in the farm equipment sales bus-iness. In 1974 Raymond became the owner of Harvey Farm Equipment. Raymond was a member of United Baptist Church, Dover-Foxcroft, Valley Grange, Piscataquis Pomona Grange, and State and National Grange. He was a past deputy of the Maine State Grange. Raymond was a self proclaimed “Yankee trader.” He spent his life fulfilling his passion of selling tractors and related equipment. Although he sold many different brands of tractors, he had a particular passion for the Cockshutt brand. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mar-ilyn of Dover-Foxcroft; two brothers, Alvin Harvey and his wife, Thelma, of East Corinth and Harold Harvey and his wife, Cindy, of Zephyrhills, Fla.; two sisters, Margaret Colachico and her husband, Charles of Wakefield, Mass., and Geraldine Whitmore of Burlington, Vt.; a sister-in-law, Ethel Harvey of Dover-Foxcroft; numerous nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by Steven and Brenda Hartford. He was predeceased by his parents; and two brothers, Charles and Carroll Harvey. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, where funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, with the Rev.
