FARMINGDALE – Raymond “Pete” Marston, 60, of Bowman Street, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta, after a brief illness. He was born Jan. 9, 1945, in Litchfield, the son of Raymond Marston and Helen (Kopishke) Marston. Pete was a 1964 graduate of Hall-Dale High School. Upon graduating, he entered the Army and was honorably discharged in 1970. He was employed as a master electrician for Cianbro for many years. He enjoyed many things in life, but one of his greatest pleasures was playing golf with his boys and brothers. All who knew and loved Pete could explain the man he was as caring, giving, loving, thoughtful, generous, kind and compassionate. He will be sadly missed and always remembered for his gentle and trusting ways. He was predeceased by his father, Raymond A. Marston in 1993. He is survived by two sons, Aaron and his wife, Keli; and only grandchild, Taylor Dawn of Jacksonville, Fla., and Christopher and his companion, Christine Gould of Colorado; his mother, Helen Marston of Farmingdale; three brothers, Ronald Marston and wife, Debbie, of West Gardiner, David Marston and companion, Georgiana Carey of Waterville, and Barry Marston and wife, Karolyn of Augusta; four sisters, Charlotte Kemp and husband, Richard, of Monmouth, Norma Swift and companion, Bertie Shorey of Palermo, Shirley Taylor and husband, Fred, of Farmingdale, and Laurel Peaslee and husband, David, of Farmingdale; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. There will be no visiting hours as requested by the family. There will be a service at a later date under the direction of Staples Funeral Home, Gardiner.
