GREENBUSH – Rebecca Carolyn Meade died Oct. 3, 2005. She was born Nov. 22, 1950, in LaFollette, Tenn. A woman of ineffable strength and moon-like in her beauty, Becky died with much love of life. A gentle being, she delighted in grasshoppers and hummingbirds, tomatoes and oranges. With two dark birds for eyes and the great golden globe of her mouth, she illuminated every room, each moment, each life. She was the great whale we barnacles clung to. Becky’s laughter gave us sustenance, her embraces fed us dark chocolate. Crow-like, Becky loved shiny shards of stone, and was seldom seen without her tiny treasures. Zorbatic in soul, she will forever remain in each gleaming green stone. Becky is survived by her husband, Mark A. Meade; her children and their significant others, Jolana Lowe and Douglas Delisle, Russell Crum and Kim Setsor, and Kathryn Meade and Matt Miller; granddaughter, Kelly Rayne Crum; sisters, Mary Nelson and Ann Russell; brothers, Cecil and Danny Goins; many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. A remembrance ceremony will be held at her home, at a date to be announced. Call 827-0087 for details.
