SKOWHEGAN – Regina (Jeannie) F. Harris, 50, passed away Feb. 8, 2004, after a 16- month battle with cancer. Jeannie was born Jan. 14, 1954, in Pittsburgh, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Joyce I. (McCorrison) Harris. Jeannie was a graduate of Penquis Valley High School, Milo, Class of 1973. She worked at the Dexter Shoe Company in Milo for most of her life, until she moved to Skowhegan in 1999 for a new beginning. Jeannie was employed at MacDonald Hand Sewn, Dexter Shoe, and Solon Manufacturing in Skowhegan. She will be sadly missed by her three sisters, Karen L. Wheelden and her husband, Michael, of Glenburn, Teri D. Small of Ebeemee Pond, Betty I. Harris of Milo; a nephew, Matthew M. Wheelden; and a niece, Michelle Bucci; and the man in her life, Richard Longevin of Skowhegan, who stood by her side faithfully, tenderly and lovingly for four years. Jeannie will also be deeply missed by Rick’s family and her many close friends, Jeannie spent much of her time biking with Rick, reading, and growing roses in the spring. Her dog, Lucky, gave her much enjoyment over the past year. At Jeannie’s request there will be no funeral services or visiting hours. A small graveside service will be held this spring for family and friends.
