HOWLAND – Reginald A. Sage, 85, died April 3, 2007, at a Howland health care facility. He was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Howland, a son of Albert and Ethel (Lancaster) Sage. Reginald worked as a millwright at both Great Northern Paper Co. and Georgia-Pacific. When he wasn’t working, Reginald enjoyed spending time at his camp on South Branch Lake, and he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are his three sons, R. Kenneth Sage of Enfield, Richard Sage and Brenda of Edinburg, and Larry Sage of Howland; five grandchildren, Shannon L. Sage, Ryan T. Sage, both of Enfield, Alan Sage of Old Town, Rachel Sage of Charlotte, N.C., and Andrea Sage of Old Town; a special friend, Beverly Ireland of Howland; and six siblings, Althea Sage, Thelma Leavitt, Glenna Leavitt, all of Howland, Gerald Sage of Maxfield, Lloyd Sage, and Mona Swett, both of Howland. Reginald was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Doris (Berry) Sage; a sister, Edith Currie; and two brothers, Elwin Sage and Kermit Sage. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 6, at the funeral home with the Rev. Whitfield Curtis officiating.
