DEXTER – Reginald Grant Mountain, 74, died Jan. 27, 2006, at a Pitts-field hospital. He was born Jan. 14, 1932, at Dover-Foxcroft, a son of Eugene and Sadie (Moore) Mountain. He served in the Army until 1954. Reggie worked at Dexter Shoe Company for 46 years, retiring in 1996. He was also a farmer raising animals, vegetables and berries. He is survived by his wife of nearly 51 years, Mildred (Flewelling) Mountain of Dexter; two sons, Reginald and wife, Shelly Mountain, of Dexter and Eugene Mountain of Parkman; three daughters, Kathie Ricker and husband, Michael, of Dexter, Lori-Anne Hallett and husband, Robert, of Ellsworth and Lisa Mountain of Dexter; two brothers, James of Dexter and Eugene Francis and wife, Eunice, of Dover-Foxcroft; two sisters, Marie Gilbert of Dexter, Donna Harkins and husband, Daniel, of Florida; 17 grandchildren, one great-grandson. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 p.m. Monday, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Dexter, with the Rev. Father James Robichaud, officiating.
