DANFORTH – Reginald Lee Barnes, 68, died Monday morning, June 18, 2007, at a health care facility in Houlton. He was born Feb. 27, 1939, in Washburn, the son of Ervin and Ruth (Higgins) Barnes. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1961 to 1964. Reginald worked at McCain Foods, Washburn and retired from Bangor Savings Bank, Bangor, as a maintenance man. He was an avid Red Sox and early Celtics fan. He enjoyed listening to music on his stereo system. Reginald is survived by three sons, Terry of Danforth, Bruce and his wife, Lynnette, of Bangor and Reginald Jr. and his wife, Dawne, of Bangor; a daughter, Rhonda Barnes and her companion, Mitch Frye, of Danforth; two brothers, Marvin Barnes and his wife, Marie, of Conn., and Stephen Barnes of Bangor; a sister, Dawn Peters of Bangor; six grandchildren, Benjamin, Micah, Joshua, Tawnie, Mikayla and Deven. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Washburn Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Relatives and friends may call 1-2 p.m. at the church.
