ST. AGATHA – Reno C. Nadeau, 81, died June 5, 2006, at a veterans home in Caribou. He was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Plaisted, the son of Charles and Blanche (LeBoeuf) Nadeau. He was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam, with 20 years of active service. He served in intelligence, China, 1946; as a brig warden and military police chief, Japan, 1954; as a criminal investigator; bodyguard to former Secretary of State Dulles; also served in the Fort Kent Police Dept.; as deputy sheriff for Aroostook; an insurance agent; directed a moving and storage business; held a certificate of courses from FBI, Marine Corps Institute, Washington, D. C. Institution of Applied Science, Chicago, Ill.; was a member of the Marine Corps. League; post commander of Aroostook County Marine League, American Legion of Madawaska, Fort Kent VFW, AARP, NAUS; lifetime member of DAV; and school bus driver for St. Agatha School Dept. He is survived by two sisters, Rose (Nadeau) and her husband, John Sinclair and Theresa Bard, both of Fort Kent; a special niece, Rose Marie Kile; several nephews, nieces and cousins; special friends, Mini Gagnon and her family, Ursula and son, Rickie and Chantalle, Elizabeth and her husband, Rick and son, Rick Jr., Andrew and family and daughter, Jennifer. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday until time of services at the Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian Burial and military funeral will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Leopold Nicknair officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wallagrass.
