HOULTON -Rev. Clovis A. Frame, 91, died May 15, 2006, with his family at his side, at Houlton. He was born July 28, 1914, in Salesville, Ohio, the son of Ralph and Flora (Young) Frame. Clovis was a graduate of Lore City High School in 1932, Moody Bible Institute in 1935, Muskingum College in 1939, and Boston University School of Theology in 1942. He spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy starting in 1942, serving in World War II and Korea as a chaplain and ended his military career in 1962, graduated from Ohio University in 1965, and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1976. Clovis was a member of Monument Lodge No. 96 A.F. & A.M. Houlton, where he was a past master and past district deputy grand master, grand chaplain of the Grand Lodge of Maine, Chapter, Comandry, Anah Shriners of Bangor, past worthy patron O.E.S., Fidelity Chapter No. 32 of Houlton, Houlton VFW, American Legion, past president of S.A.A.R.C. He taught school at Ricker College and U.M.P.I., where he was a professor of history and pastored at the Hodgdon United Methodist, where he served for 17 years, the Monticello United Methodist Church and Court Street Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy (Carr) Frame of Houlton; three children, Pamela and her husband, Jack Galda, of Ludlow, Robert Eric Frame Sr. of Houlton, Bruce Aln Frame and his wife, Ellen Maher, of Naples, Fla.; two grandchildren, Robert Eric Frame Jr. and Andrew Weldon Flemming Frame; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by four siblings, Cleland E. Frame, John C. Frame, James W. Frame and Gladys F. Curtis. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with funeral services being held 2 p.m. Friday at Hodgdon United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marilyn Rohdin, officiant. Interment will be in the Hodgdon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the Hodgdon Methodist Church, care of Bowers Funeral Home, P.O.
