PITTSFIELD – Rev. Millard J. Dickinson, 63, died unexpectedly, June 8, 2005, at his residence. He was born Aug. 7, 1941, at Patten, a son of Milford and Ellen (Dyer) Dickinson. He graduated from Washburn High School, Class of 1959, and attended the Zion Bible Institute of Rhode Island. On Aug. 19, 1961, he married Edith J. Nason. Millard was an ordained minister with The Assemblies of God from 1963 to 2003. Although he had officially retired from the denomination he continued to serve his church as Pastor. Millard also pastored churches in Lisbon, N.H. and Fryeburg before moving with his family in October 1971 to lead the Pittsfield congregation. He was instrumental in building the new church on the Weeks Road. In addition to his wife of Pittsfield and mother of Perham, he is survived by a son, Philip and wife, Ronda Dickinson of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Diane and husband, Ricky Wilcox, and Darlene Neal, all of Pittsfield; a brother, Ronald and wife, Gayle Dickinson of Perham; a sister, Christine Rackleff of Waterville; six grandchildren, Deserae and Neill Dickinson, Seth and David Wilcox, Aaron J. Neal and Denton Neal. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Valorie and by his father, who died Nov. 5, 1988. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 10th, at the Deeper Life Assembly, Pittsfield, with the Rev. Llewellyn Sperrey officiating. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Pittsfield Village Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, Newport.
