CARMEL – The Rev. Robert G. Noyes, 70, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Oct. 23, 2006. He was born Aug. 1, 1936, in Carmel, the son of Paul and Mildred (Bradford) Noyes. He was pastor of the Carmel Full Gospel Church for 14 years and had many friends in the local churches. Earlier in life, he worked in the woods before starting the R&R Lumber Co. He also plowed the roads for surrounding communities and did construction work. He loved his home and enjoyed creating many beautiful spots on the land. He was a wonderful husband and father; a unique man who will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janice “Jan” Alexander Noyes; a son, Robert C. and wife, Tammy Noyes; a daughter, Catherine and husband, Zachary Russell; a stepson, Gary Ireland; a sister, Christine and husband, Russell Treadwell, all of Carmel; a special sister-in-law, Norma Noyes; and many grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Warren B. Noyes and Donald P. Noyes; a sister, Laverna Noyes; and a stepdaughter, Marilyn J. Ireland. There will be no visiting hours. A graveside funeral and committal service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at Highland Cemetery, Carmel, with Pastor Tammy Noyes and the Rev. Harrison Sylvester officiating. After the graveside services, a gathering will be held at the Carmel Full Gospel Church, 965 Main Road, Carmel.
