CARIBOU and PRESQUE ISLE – Richard C. Green, 49, died unexpectedly, Oct. 4, 2003, at Bowdoinham, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born Sept. 5, 1954, at Camden, N.J., the son of Harry and Charlotte (Loiret) Green. He was a graduate of the Sterling High School in Somerdale, N.J. Richard served with the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, retiring from Loring Air Force Base. He was a self-employed truck driver for many years. He was a member of the Presque Isle Elks Club No. 1954, the Trinity Masonic Lodge No. 130 A.F. & A.M. and a member of the Presque Isle Shriner’s Club. Surviving in addition to his father, Harry, of Stratford, N.Y., are one daughter, Amy Lynn Green of Warterelite, N.Y.; three sisters, Claudette Ford and her husband, Craig, of Nazareth, Pa., Arlene Jensen of Stratford, N.J., and Allison Croge of Pine Hill, N.J.; one niece and four nephews. He will also be remembered by special friends, Jim and Nora Thomas of Caribou and Scott and Greta Wilson of Presque Isle. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Fred Smith, officiating. Interment will take place in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
