FORT KENT and BLUE RIVER PQ., CANADA – Richard “Dick” J. Morin, 66, died Nov. 7, 2004, at his residence in Blue River, PQ., Canada after a short illness. He was born Oct. 13, 1938, in Fort Kent, the son of Elie and Marie (Guerette) Morin. Richard was the founder and owner of Morin’s Paving & Construction for 45 years. He was a member of the Fort Kent 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Council No. 0325, member of the Fort Kent Lions Club. Richard was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Lena “Dean” Morin in 1988; a son, Dana Morin in 1989; three brothers, Elie Morin Jr. in 1990, Bert Morin in 2001, and Leo Morin in 2002. He is survived by his wife, Pauline (LeBrun) Morin, of Blue River PQ., Canada; two sons, Robbie Morin and his wife, Patsy, and Dale Morin and daughter-in-law, Tessie Landry, of Fort Kent; three stepsons, Tony Theriault and his wife, Carol, Andy Theriault and his wife, Connie, both of Fort Kent, and Sebastien Boulanger and his wife, Guylaine, of Blue River PQ., Canada; two stepdaughters, Judy Bossie and her husband, Joel, of Soldier Pond, and Julie Boulanger and her husband, Mario, of Montreal, Canada; three brothers, Milford Morin of Berlin, Conn., Donald Morin of Unionville, Conn., and Clifford Morin of Frenchville; two sisters, Mrs. Rena Baily of Madawaska, and Mrs. Nancy Daigle of Fort Kent; 14 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent and 8 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Committal service with full 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Honors will follow in the parish cemetery.
