PRESQUE ISLE – Ralph W. Shaw, 73, died Friday evening, Nov. 5, 2004, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Aug. 23, 1931, at Fort Fairfield, the son of Dennis and Alice Shaw. Ralph graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1951, The Aroostook School of Commerce in 1954, and Husson College in 1956. He worked as a book keeper for the John T. Nissen Bakery Co. for 13 years in Presque Isle, and then transferred to the Brewer area for 12 years, and then to other various southern plants. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by six brothers, Harold, Clarence, Dennis, Merle, Kenney, and Richard; six sisters, Fern, Opal, Opal Ledia, Amy, Mabel, and Carol. Ralph is survived by five sisters and their husbands, Ruth Carter of Bangor, Daisy and Kim Barbin of New Iberia, La., Pearl and Wayne Redmond of Ilion, N.Y., Betty and Bob Leach of Kansas City, Mo., Faye and Ed Judkins of Agawam, Mass.; several nieces, nephews, and friends. At Ralph’s request there will be no calling hours or services. Interment will be in Marshall Cemetery, Westfield.
