BELFAST – Richard Elliot Jenness, 47, passed away Friday, July 29, 2005, after a long battle with Leukemia. He was born Sept. 4, 1957, in Belfast. Ricky graduated from Belfast Area High School and then went on to the University of Maine at Presque Isle. He then worked as a planner for Bath Iron Works for 24 years and continued to support and work at Rollie’s Caf? his family’s business. Ricky was a member of the Bath, Northport and Boothbay Country Clubs. He also was a member of the Bath and Waldo County YMCA. Ricky loved his family, playing golf, and the Red Sox, and was an avid Belfast Area High School sports fan. His favorite pastime was sitting on his porch visiting with family and friends. He is predeceased by his father, Reginald Jenness; and a brother, Ronald Jenness. He is survived by his mother, Elsie (Turner) Jenness; his sister, Barbara Carey and her husband, Tom, of Winter Haven, Fla.; his brothers, Randall Jenness and his wife, Kay, of Belfast, and Robert Jenness of Belfast; and his niece, Sarah Jenness; and nephews, Thomas and Kevin Carey, and Tyler Jenness. A celebration of Ricky’s life will be held 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at the Belfast Area High School football field with the Rev. Ken and the Rev. Pat Parker officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the First Baptist Church, 95 High St., Belfast, after the service. Interment will be private at Grove Cemetery.
