MILLINOCKET – Rachel C. Clavette, 70, passed away Friday, July 29, 2005, at a Brewer healthcare facility. She was born Oct. 22, 1934, in Edmundston, Canada, the daughter of Arsine and Mary (Levesque) Michaud. Rachel worked at The Terrace for Donat and Harriette Busque for 10 years. She also worked for Buddy Gray for 10 years. Rachel was a loving and devoted mother and wife and her priority was raising her children. She enjoyed swimming at the pool for physical therapy and she was an avid reader. Rachel was a movie collector and would often watch movies with her neighbor, Charlene. She was survived by her very loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Gilman Clavette of Millinocket; two sons, Clayton Clavette of Millinocket and Skowhegan, Roy Clavette and his wife, Michelle, of Stetson; two daughters, Judy Wyman and her husband, Donald, of Mattawamkeag and Lowell, Joyce Elliot and her husband, Bill, of Camden and Bangor; three grandchildren, Aarron Wyman, Autumn Elliot, Grace Clavette; two step-grandchildren, Megan Murray and Matt Murray; one brother, Chanel Michaud of Sabattus; three sisters, Dora Hensley, Theresa Bishop, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., Lorette Chasse of Southington, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket.
