ORONO – Richard L. Sullivan, 76, died July 12, 2008, at a Bangor health care center. He was born Feb. 20, 1932, in Bangor, the son of Reginald and Ruth W. (Cushing) Sullivan. He was a graduate of Orono High School, Class of 1951. Richard served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge, he attended and graduated Husson College, Class of 1960. He was predeceased by a brother, Harold Sullivan. Surviving are three children, Harold Sullivan of Breezy Point, Minn., Michael Sullivan and his wife, Deborah, and Colleen Sullivan; one grandson, Matthew Sullivan, all of Eden Prairie, Minn.; three sisters, Barbara Black of Upland, Calif., Helen Sappier of Old Town and Betty Broughton of Palestine, Texas; one brother, Ronald Sullivan of Belton, Texas; several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Brookings-Smith, LaBeau Chapel, 72 Main St., Orono, where a funeral ser-vice will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17.
