GUILFORD – Richard Lewis Thurlow, 72, of Panama City, Fla., went home to be with the Lord, March 1, 2005, following an extended illness. He was born July 21, 1932. As a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired carpenter, he enjoyed spending most of his free time fishing and golfing. Richard was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Galilean Baptist church. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Patricia and their five children, Richard L. Thurlow Jr. and wife, Judy, Pam Haglund and husband, Mike, James Thurlow and wife, Beth, Melodie Creel and husband, Joe, and Crickett Robinson; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Thurlow, Brandon Thurlow, Matthew Thurlow, Corey Haglund, Laura Thurlow, Drew Robinson, Brittany Creel, Zack Haglund and Haley Thurlow; sister, Louise Hall and husband, Fred; and brother, David Thurlow and wife, Barbara. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. March 5, 2005, at the Galilean Baptist Church, 6008 John Pitts Road, Panama City, Fla. Pastor Mike Parker will be officiating. Those desiring may make a donation to Emerald Coast Hospice in lieu of flowers.
