Mitch always lived life with a positive attitude, a warm smile and a big heart. He was an excellent woodworker and loved giving away his handmade works of art. He had an avid love for the outdoors, enjoying his hobbies of downhill skiing, snowshoeing, camping, hiking, fishing and canoeing the Allagash, all with his two special girls, Tonya, his daughter; and Florence, his very special friend. In addition to Tonya and Florence, he is also much loved and survived by his siblings and their spouses, Pat and Allan Dow of Fort Kent, Rachel and Bob Marquis of Fort Kent, Joel and Rena Mich-aud of Winthrop, and Jean Paul Michaud of New York; his extended family, Myra Mich-aud, Jason Richard, and their daughters, Ella and Grace, of Biddeford; Christine and Jeremy Desjardins and their son, Jack, of Wallagrass, Jeffrey Michaud and Aubrie Daigle of St. Agatha, and Andrew Marquis of St. Agatha; nephews, Carl Marquis, Peter Marquis, Jeffrey Michaud, Chuck Dow and Jason Michaud; nieces, Jocelyn Haley, Lori Michaud, Monique Marquis-Grant and Sylvia Dow-Harvey; many great- nieces, great-nephews, cousins and good friends. He was predeceased by his parents; and by his nephew, David Marquis. All who knew Richard will miss him terribly, but will never forget his passion for life, unwavering faith and his devotion to family. A wonderful father, brother, uncle and friend, we are all better people for having known and loved him.
