ELLSWORTH – Richard P. Jude, 82, died July 5, 2005, at a Bangor hospi-tal. He was born May 2, 1923, in Ellsworth, the son of Harry and Florence (Jordan) Jude. Richard graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1940. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces from 1948 to 1950, including Okinawa. He went into the reserves for the next five years. He worked for Bridge Construction and Harold MacQuinn Contractors as a truck driver. He later worked for the City of Ellsworth, retiring after 19 years. He was a volunteer with the Senator Hale Hose Company for 40 years, member of the Lygonia Lodge No. 40 for 55 years, Franklin Veterans Club, Anah Shrine and a member of the Schoodic Mountain Community Bible Church of Ellsworth. Richard is survived by his wife of 17 years, Natalie; two stepsons, Scott Jordan of East Hampton, Conn., and Harold Connors of Ellsworth; one stepdaughter, Linda Jordan of Ahoski, N.C.; three stepgrandchildren and all their families; a niece and a special friend, Wayne French. Calling hours will be held 1-2 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2005, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Woodbine Cemetery.
