WELLINGTON – Rick Allen Bard, 49, passed away peacefully Feb. 6, 2008, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. He went to be with his Lord and Savior, after a long battle with cancer. He was born Dec. 10, 1958, in Bangor, son of Wilfred J. and Eleen (LeBlanc) Bard Sr. He graduated from Howland High School in 1977. He was a proud husband and father. Rick worked at local mills and did carpentry on the side for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and family camping trips. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Shelley (Woodard) Bard of Wellington; and son, Derreck Bard of Brewer; his parents of Lincoln; brothers, Michael Bard of Bangor, and Wilfred Bard Jr. and family of Massachusetts; two sisters, Mary Elliott and Susan Young, and their families of Massachusetts; special in-laws, Donna and Sheldon Woodard of Wellington; several special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend, Albert Theriault of Rockwood. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
